Transit Asset Management for Tribal Populations

In June 2016, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) published the Final Rule for Transit Asset Management (TAM), which requires FTA grantees to develop asset management plans for their public transportation assets. The TAM planning process is meant to help agencies establish a strategic and systematic process for operating, maintaining, and improving public transportation capital assets through their entire life cycle. The TAM for Tribes webinar will provide a background on TAM and outline the elements of TAM that are relevant to tribal transit agencies. The discussion will focus on how tribes can begin implementing their own TAM programs, comply with the rule, and access useful technical assistance.
