Abstract:
This guidebook provides a step-by-step process for developing a performance-measurement program that includes both traditional and non-traditional performance indicators that address customer-oriented and community issues as well as case studies of successful programs. This guide is intended for transit managers and others interested in incorporating transit performance measures into the decision-making process. A menu of performance measures is provided that describes how to select and implement the most appropriate performance measures and explains how to incorporate these measures in order to improve transit service.
