Abstract:
This report examines methods to incorporate economic benefits and impacts into the decision-making process for public transportation agencies. Due to funding constraints, transit agencies increasingly need information on the economic benefits and impacts of public transportation in order to prioritize and plan to maximize benefits of public transportation. A literature review and survey of transit agencies was conducted to determine how economic studies are being used the planning and decision-making process.
