Abstract:
Performance measures are necessary to ensure that steps taken to achieve a more accessible transportation environment in are efficient and effective. Stakeholders need to analyze measurable outcomes to be able to learn from previous actions and to assess progress made towards goals. This paper provides feedback on what types of performance measurements can assist stakeholders in establishing and monitoring quantifiable outputs for improving public transportation accessibility; and highlights key issues in measuring accessible transportation in developing regions.
