Apply Now: American Planning Association Scholarships

The American Planning Association Foundation assists students by providing scholarships. The goal of these scholarships are to make the planning profession more accessible to individuals with limited means and to attract the best and brightest individuals to the planning profession. The Foundation has two scholarship opportunities available. 

Judith McManus Price Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to women or minority students intending to pursue careers as practicing planners in the public sector, and are able to demonstrate a genuine financial need. Awards range between $2,000 and $5,000. 

Charles Abrams Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to graduate students pursuing a degree in planning who are enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment at one of five school at which Charles Abrams taught, including: 

  • Columbia University
  • Harvard University
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • New School University
  • University of Pennsylvania
