The Road to Autonomous Vehicles

In this presentation, attendees will learn about the numerous automated systems currently available in cars and what new technology will be added to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that improves driver and passenger safety.
Connected and autonomous vehicles have five levels of ADAS. Some of the proposed benefits from autonomous vehicles include increased safety and road capacity, driver relief to perform other tasks, and the removal of constraints for those who are unable to drive. Autonomous vehicles are connected to other vehicles, road infrastructure, mapping systems, traffic, weather, and entertainment. The data generated from all of these connections poses cybersecurity issues as well as the potential for vehicle errors from software and weather conditions.
